Privacy policy

CareTN connects Tennessee caregivers and home care agencies. This policy describes how this application handles your information.

Information we collect

Applications collect your name, phone, email, city, certifications, transportation availability, work availability, screening answers, and dated messaging consent. Agency accounts collect business verification and contact information. Account authentication is handled by Clerk. Do not submit health records, Social Security numbers or patient information.

Who can see your information

Application information is available to the agency you apply to and authorized administrators. Candidate phone numbers and email addresses are never published. Optional matching alerts suggest other jobs to you; they do not publicly publish your contact information or automatically submit an application.

Text messages and consent

Application texts require explicit consent. Optional recurring matching and job-alert texts require separate opt-in. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop all CareTN texts or HELP for help. Text START to remove suppression; new consent is required for optional matching. We store consent records and suppression preferences. We do not sell phone numbers or SMS consent to third parties for marketing.

AI-assisted screening

For eligible agencies, job requirements and screening answers are processed by Anthropic through Replit AI Integrations to produce an advisory 1–10 score and three-line summary. Names and contact details are excluded from this request. Scores do not automatically determine hiring decisions. Agencies must review the original answers and make their own decisions.

Service providers and payments

Clerk provides authentication. When connected, Twilio delivers texts and Stripe handles subscription payments. CareTN does not store card numbers. The hosting provider stores application records in a private PostgreSQL database. These providers process information under their own policies.

Retention and your choices

Job listings expire after 30 days unless renewed; expiry does not automatically delete applications. Application and consent records are retained while needed for recruiting, dispute resolution and legal obligations. You may request access, correction or deletion through the agency you applied to or contact the site operator through your account. Unsubscribing stops texts, not an existing job application. Some consent and suppression records may be retained to honor opt-outs.

Before launch

This is an operational policy draft. The site operator must add their legal identity, public support contact, retention schedule and effective date and obtain legal review before collecting live applications.
